OGDENSBURG – A grand opening and ribbon cutting for the newly opened Wimpy’s Inn restaurant, 809 Ford Street, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m.
Julia and Ethan Henry and their family have transitioned the iconic Wimpy’s Inn food truck back to a brick-and-mortar location on Ford Street close to where the original Wimpy’s Inn was located.
Julia has worked hard to carry on the family legacy and tradition which was started by her grandfather, George Wells in 1948.
The Henrys began operating a Wimpy’s food truck in 2016 in the vacant lot, 805 Ford St., where the original Wimpy’s once stood.
The menu features Wimpy burgers, Texas hots, hand-cut fries, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, and fishburgers.
Wimpy’s Inn opened July 26. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; eat in or take out. Call Wimpy’s Inn at 315-276-5396 or visit them at @wimpysinn315.
