OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Snackpack Program Committee is preparing to provide healthy weekend snacks for children in Ogdensburg during the 2024-2025 school year. This past school year 320 children received two breakfast breaks each week at a cost of $4.35 per pack.
Additionally, over 400 Breakfast Breaks were provided for the elementary summer and ESY programs. Each Breakfast Break includes cereal, 100% fruit juice, and a snack cracker such as Annie's organic crackers.
It is through donor generosity that the program is able to provide this outreach to children in the John F. Kennedy and Dr. Grant C. Madill Elementary Schools in Ogdensburg for the past nine years.
The Snackpack Committee is asking the public to consider donating to this much needed service in the community. Perhaps you would consider sponsoring a child. One weekend, $6.48 (note the increase), one month, $25.92, one year (37 weekends), $239.76.
The Ogdensburg Snackpack Program is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 Corporation (ElN#Sl-2009920) and is totally supported by donations. There are no administrative costs associated with the program. Please send your tax deductible donation to: Ogdensburg Snackpack Program, P.O. Box 1371, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
