Thousands of people turned out for a massive fireworks show at Gouverneur fairgrounds Wednesday to celebrate Independence Day.
The sky lit up in many colors and loud booms wowed children in attendance, despite the on-off rainfall most of the evening.
There were food trucks on site and a 50/50 raffle to benefit the local fire department.
This year marked the 146th annual July 4 celebration at the fairgrounds.
