CANTON – Film crews from the marketing company CGI Digital, Rochester, are scheduled to showcase what Canton has to offer June 13-15,
Canton councilman John Taillon updated the town board Wednesday night, Dec. 14, of the upcoming film sessions.
He said the Canton Community Video Committee, consisting of Taillon, Councilman Bob Santamoor, Deputy Mayor Anna Sorensen and Village Trustee Barbara Beekman met via Zoom Nov 16, Nov. 28 and Nov. 30 with a CGI producer.
“She gave us a questionnaire to do some homework. We decided spring should be sprung by then,” he noted. “We didn’t want them here when it’s a frozen tundra.”
Areas to be filmed has yet to be determined with a script to be finalized sometime in the spring.
Both the town and village boards have agreed to enter into a contract with CGI Digital at no cost to both entities. CGI Digital is a company dedicated to serving communities and businesses through community-based videos.
CGI’s website states their Community Showcase Video Program is nationally recognized as a vehicle to enhance municipal websites, delivering information that visitors are seeking. This service assists in community growth and development.
