POTSDAM -- Americans Supporting Armed Services, a local 501(c)(3) organization supporting veterans across Northern NY was recently chosen for a $10,000 grant.
The money from the grant will be used to further their mission to give back to those who serve our country.
President Tamie Sauve and Chief Operations Officer Paula Murphy were presented a check for $10,000 by the General Manager, Kat Pike at Potsdam Kentucky Fried Chicken on Sept. 7.
Kat Pike stated she hadn’t planned on submitting a nomination this year until the organization stopped in looking for donations for one of their events. Ms. Pike said she loved the work that ASAS was doing and made a last minute nomination and it paid off. After several months of deliberation it was announced that Americans Supporting Armed Services was one of fifty organizations across the country chosen to receive the grant.
The organization has plans to partner with KFC in Potsdam through the holidays and the first few months of 2023 to celebrate, recognize and give back to veterans across the North Country.

Organization members invite any veteran or caregiver to reach out to discuss needs they may have.
