North Country This Week
The Development Authority of the North Country’s board of directors recently renewed service contracts with the town of Morristown and the city of Ogdensburg.
The board renewed its existing contract with Morristown to provide operation and maintenance at the town’s water and wastewater treatment facilities for $304,847 from Jan. 1, 2023 to Dec. 31, 2027.
The renewed contract with the city of Ogdensburg will obligate DANC to provide operations and maintenance for the city’s water and wastewater facility for $865,500 from Jan. 1, 2023 to Dec. 31, 2023.
“So these are existing contracts that we have. They are being renewed with essentially the same scope of services as they are existing with those communities again in water quality,” Carrie M. Tuttle, DANC chief operating officer, told the DANC board of directors at their meeting Dec. 15.
“Those are operation and maintenance contracts for… Morristown. And in the city of Ogdensburg that’s our management services contract where we provide a water quality supervisor that oversees the operation of the water and wastewater facilities with city employees.” Tuttle said.
