Costume contest, parade, trunk or treat, and more at Fall Fest

OGDENSBURG — A Halloween costume parade and Trunk or Treat, pumpkin painting, hay rides, bounce houses, 5k run/walk, movie, and more will be offered at the Ogdensburg Fall Fest Saturday, October 19.

The Fall Fest starts at the Dobisky Center with a 5k Run/Walk at 9 a.m., hosted by BBJ Bootcamp & Fitness Center. The entry fee is $30 to benefit the Ogdensburg Boys & Girls Club. To register, call 315-323-9507 or 315-296-4377.

Events at Morrisette Park are from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., hosted by the Ogdensburg City Recreation.

Hay rides, bounce houses, petting zoo, games and a costume contest are all free at the park.

Pumpkin painting will take place from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the park. Reserve your free pumpkin by emailing jmcdonald@ogdensburg.org

The costume contest will be held at 4 p.m. in the park.

The costume parade will start at 5 p.m. at the Dobisky Center. The parade will march to the the  Trunk or Treat event in the parking lot at the corner of State and Washington St.

Children are welcome to wear a costume to the free family night out from 5-7 p.m., hosted by the Community Health Center of the North Country and Seaway Valley Prevention Council.

The free movie ‘Hocus Pocus’,  popcorn and snow cones will be offered at the Dobisky Center at 7:15 p.m.
